Classroom Behavior

We have a color behavior chart in our classroom that is marked in their home binder each day. This folder should be brought back and forth to school each day.  They should be signed each week by the parents to acknowledge they have read the color makings.

Green = A green block is the expectation.  This means that your child has followed the school and classroom rules and is doing a wonderful job!  Praise them for the greens they obtain.

Blue = A blue square is still okay.  It means that I had to warn them about certain behavior or behaviors and it continued. Thus they moved their frog to blue. I will make a note about or put a check next to the behavior that occurred.

Yellow = A yellow square means that they continued to struggle with a certain behavior or action. It means they had to miss 5 minutes of recess or center time to think about the behavior and how they will correct it next time.  Please follow -up with your child at home about these behaviors. If it is a persistent problem I will call to address the issue.

Red = A red means that they miss 10 or up to all recess (20 minutes) depending on the behavior.  If it breaks the school rules it will be addressed by the principal if the situation warrants.  A call home or to your place of business will occur if they are moved to red.
